Kim Holloway

Kim Holloway has been writing professionally for more than 15 years, from features for a small town newspaper to copy for clients like Sur La Table, T-Mobile, and Hampton Inn.  After working for a variety of advertising agencies in Los Angeles and Orange County, in 2002 Kim struck out for Seattle, where she’s built a successful freelance career (and greatly shortened her commute).  Why Seattle? Well, she likes pina coladas and getting caught in the rain, so it just made sense.

A Mississippi-born storyteller, Kim frequently tells true tales on stage at the Theatre Off Jackson. She also reads cringe-worthy teenage journal entries at Seattle’s Salon of Shame and is a featured reader at their annual “Best of” show.

On her blog “Stuff Southern People Like,” Kim expounds upon some of the finer aspects of Dixie culture, such as boiled peanuts, funeral food, dust ruffles, and drive-thru beer barns.
